The caption of this photo was Storefront, Greensboro, Alabama. The photographer of this picture was Evans, Walker, 1903-1975. This picture was created/published in the summer of 1936. This picture was taken place outside in an urban area. The photo was taken in the afternoon and has good lighting. There is one man in front of the building wearing a hat, pants, shoes, and a jacket from a suit. This man seems to be in his 20s or 30s. The man in front of the store seems to be African American and seems to be patient since he is waiting for the store to open, I think. The first thing that catches my eye in this picture is the grocery store. The grocery store seems to be a good condition and seems to be a medium sized store. I cannot see what surrounds the building from this picture. The tone of the photo seems to be light and positive. This picture has this tone because this show that stores still are open and that they are still selling things after the Great Depression. But the tone is not very influential because if there were more stores or people there then it would be heavy. Two questions that I would ask the photographer would be: What made you take this picture of the store? and Was this store important to you in any way?
